Considering that \u2013 This phrase is equal in its meaning to the expression \u201cas long as\u201d.<\/h4>\n<p class=\"western\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" align=\"justify\">e.g. Considering that mixed-use buildings were new at the time, it seems appropriate that builders came from different backgrounds and industries.<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"western\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" align=\"justify\">5. Due to \u2013 This is the same as saying \u201cas a result of\u201d and performs the function of a preposition. It\u2019s typically used to replace the expression \u201cbecause of\u201d. The same as \u201cbecause\u201d and \u201cbecause of\u201d, this expression implies factual information.<\/h4>\n<p class=\"western\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" align=\"justify\">e.g. In view of the fact that all the other members of the group are going, I think you should go too.<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"western\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" align=\"justify\">9. Now that \u2013 This indicates an informal connection between the cause and effect.<\/h4>\n<p class=\"western\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" align=\"justify\">e.g. Now that the weather has been dry for several days, I can cut the grass.<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"western\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" align=\"justify\">10. Out of \u2013 This serves to explain feelings and emotions.<\/h4>\n<p class=\"western\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" align=\"justify\">e.g. He did it out of curiosity.<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"western\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" align=\"justify\">11. Owing to \u2013 This has the same meaning, as \u201cdue to\u201d. Both options are more formal in their meaning than \u201cbecause\u201d and \u201cbecause of\u201d.<\/h4>\n<p class=\"western\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" align=\"justify\">e.g. Giraffes are inhabitants of open country, and owing to their length of neck and long flexible tongues, are able to browse tall trees, mimosas being among their favorites.<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"western\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" align=\"justify\">12. Since that \u2013 This is synonymic in its meaning to the phase \u201cconsidering that\u201d.<\/h4>\n<p class=\"western\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" align=\"justify\">e.g. These plants are rather expensive, since that they\u2019re quite hard to find.<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"western\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" align=\"justify\">13. Since \u2013 This is a formal and secondary equivalent to \u201cbecause\u201d. It mainly indicates elapsed execution time. For this reason, its temporal and causal meanings can often be confused.<\/h4>\n<p class=\"western\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" align=\"justify\">e.g. Since everything can be done from home with computers and telephones, there\u2019s no need to dress up for work anymore.<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"western\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" align=\"justify\">14. Thanks to \u2013 Despite its sound, this expression can present either a positive or negative outcome.<\/h4>\n<p class=\"western\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" align=\"justify\">e.g. Thanks to my fitness coach, I\u2019m now much stronger and healthier.<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" align=\"justify\">e.g. Thanks to Danny, everyone will have to work overtime to fix this mistake.<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"western\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" align=\"justify\"><a name=\"_GoBack\"><\/a> 15. Through \u2013 This word performs the function of a preposition in the sentence and is usually followed by a clause, which partially counteracts the forgoing action.<\/h4>\n<p class=\"western\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" align=\"justify\">e.g. Sue lost her boyfriend through her jealousy.<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" align=\"justify\">e.g. How many pitching stars have been affected by rain delays?<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" align=\"justify\">Choose suitable alternative options to clarify things and avoid unnecessary repetitions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" align=\"justify\">Follow these simple recommendations.
